Howard County, Missouri

Howard County is located in Central Missouri. It was named for Benjamin Howard, first governor of Missouri Territory.
The seat and largest city are both Fayette. It has its southern border made up by the Missouri River.
Howard County borders Chariton, Randolph, Boone, Cooper and Saline Counties.
Main highways through the county include US-40, MO-3, MO-5, MO-87 and MO-240.
